I recently finished reading books 1 and 2 in the series The Ringing Cedars of Russia called Anastasia. There are 9 books in total. Recently a listener of our radio show had sent us all 9 books in a big box.
There was no card, no letter no return address label or anything. Just a box in our PO box with all 9 books.
When God or the Universe talks, I listen.
Without hesitation I dove into the first two books. I figured I needed to read them.
The book is considered fiction but there is debate as to how much of it is based on a true story and how much isn’t. People don’t really know what’s true and what’s not, which I find interesting.
Usually a book is either true or not.
The story has an ultra capitalist Russian businessman venture down the river in his boat to deliver supplies in the Tiaga forest of the Russian wilderness.
As he gets off the boat and is on the shore he gets to talking to two very old men. It turns out one was the son of the other. They were around 70 and 100 years old. They told him that the cedar trees have magical properties and can help heal the planet of disease and open people’s minds to higher realities.
They kept going on and on about all the magical properties of the cedar tree. The Russian business man Vladimer Megre (who is the author of the series) took it all in and didn’t quite know what to do with all this information.
He left the two men and carried on with his life. 6 months later he had an accident that left him injured in the hospitable. As he was there he had so much free time to kill so he decided to do some research to verify if what the old men said was true.
It turns out everything they were saying was verifiable and accurate.
After he heals he decides to go back to the same place to try and find the two old men who told him about the magical cedar trees.
When he pulls his ship up to the shore he notices a pretty young blonde girl standing near the water. He asks her if she knew who these two old men were.
Turns out these two old men were her grandfather and great grandfather. She told Vladimir she could take him to go meet them in the forest.
After hours of hiking alone in the forest with this pretty young blond girl she proceeds to tell Vladimir that she can share with him everything he needs to know about the cedar trees and much more.
For 3 days Anastasia shared with Vladimir her thoughts on everything from politics, religion, spirituality, gardening raising children and much more.
If you’re a spiritual seeker and are interested in esoteric concepts, I think you’ll like these books. I’ve only read 2 of 9 so far and they’re pretty decent. The concepts laid out are pretty unique and will open your eyes to lots of new ideas.
I will say that Megre is not a great writer. He’s very choppy in his delivery but outside of that, they’re pretty entertaining and worth a read if you’re open minded.
I caution don’t read this book if you don’t have an open mind to new concepts, spirituality and more.
I’d be interested to see what you think of them if you’ve read them. Comment below to share your thoughts.
